Repaso del verbo ‘gustar’
Gustar=to be pleasing to (to like) 
Me gusta(n)Nos gusta(n)
Te gusta(n)
Le gusta(n)Les gusta(n)
When do you use gusta vs. gustan?Use ‘gusta’ when:
       ONE thing is liked
       Me gusta la escuela
you must always use the definite article with gustar

       describing activities (using a verb)
       Me gusta leer.
      ¿Te gusta escribir?

Use 'gustan' when more than one thing is liked (plural)

Me gustan las plumas.
¿Le gustan las papas fritas?
How do you clarify to whom something is pleasing?Add:
A mí A nosotros
A ti
A él/ella/ud. A ellos/ellas/uds.
you ALWAYS need the personal “a” if adding clarification.
¿A él le gustan las papas fritas?
A mí me gusta mucho correr.

How are nouns different in Spanish?Every noun in Spanish has a gender and is either masculine or feminine.

You can tell what gender a noun is by looking at either the ending of the word or the article that preceeds it.

How are adjectives different in Spanish?Adjectives describe nouns and they MUST match in gender and number the noun that they describe.

If the adjective ends in an “o”

change to “a” for feminine nouns.
add an “s” if plural


If the adjective ends in an “e”

only add an “s” if plural


If the adjective ends in a consontant

only add “es” if plural
