Los MandatosIn English when giving commands/directives the verb does not change.

In Spanish there are different conjugations when giving a command. It all depends on to whom you are talking.

How to..Use the following for FORMAL (usted/ustedes) commands:
1. Start with the present yo form of the verb.
2. Take off the 'o'
3. Add back the opposite ending
             -ar                          -er/-ir
-e-en-a-an

1. escucho             1. escribo
2. escuch               2. escrib
3. escuchen           3. escriba(n)

Do I really have to follow all the steps?Remember our irregular yo forms?
Tengo=Tenga(n)
Pongo=Ponga(n)
-car/-gar/-zar again Follow the same spelling change rules from the preterite, but no accents

Buscar=Busque(n)
Llegar=Lleguen(n)
Empezar=Empiece(n)
 

Irregulars?Haber=haya
Ir=vaya 
Ser=sea
Saber=sepa
Dar=dé
Estar=esté
