Work Permit Information
Please keep in mind that students must be hired prior to requesting a work permit since employer information needs to be added to the permit before it is issued back to students.
Please note: Work Permit Turnaround Time (48 to 72 hours)
How to apply to receive a Work Permit:Students under 18 years of age who are being hired for a job must obtain a work permit. Submit the completed application to Mrs. Helton, MMHS Receptionist.-
Students can download a copy of the work permit application form here or by asking Mrs. Helton via email at mhelton@murrieta.k12.ca.us.

Once the student, parent, and new employer have completed their portion of the form, submit the form to:
During the school year:
Submit the completed (first three sections) "Intent to Employ" work permit application to Mrs. Helton in person at the school site OR you can also email a pdf copy of the completed form to Mrs. Helton
During school breaks, spring break, summer vacation, winter break:
Students can download a work permit and must submit via email to Student Support or call 951.696.1600
Work Permits are typically ready the same day requested.

Remember: Work Permits do expire and must be renewed. Contact Mrs. Helton for renewal information.

Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and satisfactory school attendance at each grade period to qualify and maintain a work permit.
