CAS and EE

All CAS and EE requirements within the diploma program are managed through our Canvas LMS and ManageBac. 

CAS Program Requirements

• Students must complete all 7 learning outcomes through experiences throughout at least 18 months of the program.
• Experiences must be distributed across all three strands: creativity, activity and service.
• Students will document evidence and reflections based on their experiences.
• All students will complete at least one CAS project, which requires the following:
  • long-term: at least one month long
  • collaborative: at least with one other person
  • initiated by the student - show the plan and not just the product
  • addresses at least one of the three CAS strands and one or more of the 7 learning outcomes

Extended Essay Requirements

• Students will write a maximum 4,000 word research paper on a topic of their choice.
• Students will work with a supervisor to guide them through the process.
• Students will start this process in the fall of junior year and finish it in the fall of senior year.
