7th Grade Language Arts (room 610)

This course will focus on nonfiction and literature, critical reading, essays, the writing process, and an introduction to academic research fundamentals.  Students will construct a variety of academic essays with careful consideration of audience, purpose, tone and appropriate rhetorical mode.  Literature and nonfiction texts will be studied within the context of a writing-based curriculum that will help students think and write critically.
