Welcome Panthers!!

My name is Mrs. Unzueta. This is my 6th year at Shivela. I am one of the 8th grade Resource Specialists here at Shivela Middle School. I get the pleasure of supporting lots of students in multiple classes. You may see me in one or more of your classes :)

In addition to supporting students in Language Arts and Math, I am teaching a study skills section. This course is specifically designed to help students be successful in all of their core classes. Some of the things we work on include: organizing, prioritizing, executive functioning and building on lagging skills. In this class, students get the opportunity to work on their academic goals and seek support in completing their homework, projects and essays. 

Please feel free to stop by 401B. If I am not there, I am in another amazing teacher's classroom providing support.
