• The 21-22 Summer School Application is now closed.

Please contact your son/daughter's counselor to be added to the MVUSD summer school wait list and to learn about other options in the community to remediate grades.

MVUSD Summer School Dates: June 14th to July 9th (off on July 5th for the July 4th Holiday).

Courses MEET UC / CSU Requirements

For students who registered for summer school before the applicaiton closed, please check your MVUSD student email on June 9th for updated summer school information.

Courses Do NOT MEET NCAA Requirements (see your counselor for NCAA approved classes)

MVUSD Summer school will follow a cohort divided hybrid schedule which allows for in-person instruction two days a week on the Murrieta Valley High School campus and virtual / remote instruction three days per week.  On the in-person days, students with the last name (A-L) will attend morning classes (7:30 - 10:40) while students with the last name (M-Z) will attend the afternoon session (11:20 -2:30).  There will not be virtual instruction on in-person days, so all students must attend class on campus.  Please refer to the schedule at the end of this announcement for the specific weekly school schedule.

To ensure proper progress in a course and to meet seat time requirements, students must meet with their teacher even on the virtual/ remote days.  Teachers will establish the specific virtual meeting time within the designated time slot for their course.  On virtual days, Period One runs (7:30-10:40) and Period Two runs from (11:20-2:30).  Students will not be online with their teachers for the entire three-hour period, but the expectation is that students plan for asynchronous work time for the time-period they are not receiving online instruction with their teacher.

Tuesday June 8th, students can view their courses in the Aeries Portal under summer school.  If a student identifies that he or she is registered for an incorrect class, please reach out to the school counselor immediately, so we can make an adjustment prior to the start of summer school.  Additionally, notify the counselor if you are unable to attend summer school this year, so we can provide your spot to a student on the waitlist.

Here are some important reminders related to summer school success.

    1. All students must have a device for summer school.  Please bring it to campus on the in-person days as we will not have additional devices in each classroom.  If a student needs a district provided device, please contact the student’s home school to check out a device on Monday June 7th or Tuesday June 8th
    2. Summer school has strict attendance guidelines. Teachers will take roll daily in every class.  A student who misses more than two days will be dropped, so please plan accordingly, and communicate with your teachers.
    3. Many students are taking two classes simultaneously during summer school, so please plan to complete work both in-class and at home asynchronously. Students must stay on pace for the class.
    4. Grab and Go Lunch will be provided on in-person days at Murrieta Valley High School.
    5. All students must wear a mask while on school grounds.
    6. All school and district rules apply to summer school.
