Welcome Panthers! I am Mrs. Turk, 6th grade Math teacher. I am excited to help you maneuver through your first year as a middle school student. Education is a passion of mine, and I am excited to be part of the Shivela team. 

We will be "Living the Panther L.I.F.E." learning school-wide expectations, which will help you become a productive member of your community beyond middle school.  

Please refer to the Canvas page regarding classroom expectations, classwork, assessments, notes, etc. Please make sure you understand how to check your grades using Aeries. It is important to do weekly check-ins to be sure your grade is correct. Your grade, your responsibility! Please come to class on time, ready to learn, and prepared.

To be sure you're successful, please be sure you come to class with:                                    

• pencils (more than 1)
• highlighters (different colors)
• calculator
• different colored pens for correcting
