This school year will be my 25th year of teaching middle school science and I still love it!  

One of my main educational philosophies is that teaching hands-on science is a critical component for a student to LIKE, if not LOVE, science!! :)

 

Here is a little information about my family...

My husband, Scott and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in July! He is a financial planner, owns his own business and is an advocate for educators.  

I have 2 amazing kids...Collin (22 years) and Rebekah (16 years). We are a soccer family...daughter plays club soccer and are big fans of pro-soccer (Portland Timbers) & USA Women's & Men's soccer teams!  We also have a mini-husky named Shasta, who is 8 years old.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my family.  I was born in San Diego, where my parents still reside.
