Gabriela DiGiovanni, Student Support Coordinator
Gabriela has successfully participated in building inclusive systems that address the unique and individualized needs of students. She is successful with enhancing collaborative practices within the district, community agencies and parent and student engagement with the goal being that each and every student thrives academically, socially and emotionally.
Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology (UCSD) and a Master of Science in School Psychology (National University). She also holds a Pupil Personnel Services credential with School Psychology authorization and is a California Licensed Educational Psychologist.
Yoana Armendariz, Student Support Coordinator
Yoana has been a key member of MVUSD, Special education team for four years. As a member of the mental health team, she worked collaboratively with parents and service providers in removing academic, social and emotional barriers. Her expertise in providing counseling and working with at risk students and their families allows her to successfully address the behavioral health needs of all students.Teresse Lewis Breakthrough FacilitatorTeresse Lewis earned her B.A from Vanguard University and her M.S.W from University of Southern California. She also holds a PPS credential in school social work. Teresse facilitated family conference sessions in conjunction with the Breakthrough program prior to becoming an elementary counselor with the district. Her background includes over 8 years of providing therapy and behavioral interventions for children and families in both outpatient and community based settings. Teresse specializes in effective parenting techniques for children with behavioral/emotional struggles and is also clinician for a community based residential treatment program in the region.David Carrillo Breakthrough FacilitatorDavid Carrillo began his school counseling career at Arroyo Valley High School in San Bernardino in 2003. In 2007 Carrillo began serving as a School Counselor in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. In addition to his responsibilities as a counselor, Mr. Carrillo has been the advisor for National Honor Society, the California Scholarship Federation, and a member of the Murrieta High Schools' Scholarship Foundation. Mr. Carrillo holds a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, an MS in Educational Counseling from National University, and an MA in Educational Leadership for the University of California, Riverside.
