Alternate Route Information
Emergency and alternate route notifications will be made to parents of bus riders via the district's mass communication platform, Aeries Communication. In addition, alternate route information will be posted on the district website.
Inclement Weather Routes
In the event of wildfires, heavy rain, or flooding, the district may change to an inclement weather routing schedule. The inclement weather routes would typically affect rural areas and unpaved roads where there is excessive moving water on the road or flooded areas. Alternate routes will remain in effect for a minimum period of 24 hours after the rain or inclement weather has subsided. If a road has been washed out or deemed unsafe to travel, the inclement weather routing schedule will be extended until the road has been restored and deemed safe for travel by the proper authorities.
Emergency Road Closures
In the event of an emergency road closure, alternate routes may be implemented. If there are no alternate routes available, students will remain at their school site where they will be supervised until a parent or guardian can pick them up.
