Communications
The Murrieta Valley Unified School District is committed to providing families and community stakeholders with up-to-date news and information related to our schools, students and district. We have a robust communication system designed to help parents, students and staff find information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Murrieta Valley USD uses Aeries Communications powered by ParentSquare, primarily with email, text and app notifications. Aeries Communications powered by ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can update notification preferences. Aeries Communications can be accessed by Single Sign On through the Aeries Parent portal/app, OR by downloading the Parent Square app or viewing the www.parentsquare.com site.
Here’s what you can do with Aeries Communications powered by ParentSquare:
- Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once at 6pm daily
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Comment on school postings to engage in your school community
- Direct message teachers, staff and other parents
- Participate in group messages
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences with smart online technology
- Send payments, sign forms & permission slips, receive report cards, sign up to volunteer and more from your phone or web portal
Why the change this year? This past year, Aeries Communication was purchased by Parent Square.
ParentSquare provides a seamless experience for parents and staff. Parents will be able to keep track of news, activities, and events from all their children’s schools in one place. Through ParentSquare parents and guardians can now receive all announcements from the district, their student's school and their teachers in one place. There are built-in options for families to specify how and when they are notified. This system also provides one-to-one communication and group messaging with real-time language translation in over 100 languages.
We urge parents to access their accounts, download the Aeries or Parent Square mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
In addition to routine information, the notification system will also be used to send urgent or emergency notifications that affect your student and may require your attention.
If you are not receiving parent/student communications, please make sure your contact information in Aeries is up to date. Your students' school may assist with updating your information.
