February 9, 2021 Black History Month Essay
What does it mean to me and why do we celebrate Black History Month Black History Month is a special month. It teaches people all over the world about why black people are smart and how important they are. Black History is an important thing to study because a lot of times black people don’t get awards and stuff that they should. Many other people from different places in the world get awards for things they do. Most people don’t know that there are lots of awesome and cool black inventors, leaders, and people. All people are equal and all people matter to each other. What some people don’t know is how some awesome black inventors made life easier. For example Sarah Boone invented the iron board. Mary Brown invented the alarms we have in our home that protect us from bad guys. Of course we can’t forget people like Dr. King who just wanted everyone to get along and for everybody to have the same chances that others have. So those are just a few reasons why Black History is important. Black History is important to me because I have black family members that had a hard life. They had to go to a all black school. They also had to work harder even though they are very smart just so they can make a point. It was not fair to them but they graduated and have really good lifes. I love having a fun time with them and talking about everything they went through to be great. I know one day everyone will be equal no matter where you are from and everyone will finally see what Dr. King wanted so bad. Black History month is important everyday because so many people fight for what is right every day.
