Over one hundred Vista Murrieta students are involvedin our student government program, providing leadership and representing the student body as yourelected officers and student senators. The Student Council has earned the Outstanding Student Activities Program Award for exemplary leadership, service and activities from the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) and the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) for ten consecutive years. VMHS has also been awarded the National Gold Council of Excellence Award from the National Association of Student Councils for several years. Our activities program strives to create a memorable, exciting and fun high school learning environment through planned activities throughout the year, from dances to educational and thought-provoking assemblies. In addition, students are exposed to leadership training opportunities and active participation in their state and national student council associations. Students organize teacher and staff appreciation activities, academic recognition programs, school and community service projects and spirit activities.Vista Murrieta has over 90 clubs on our campus that meet during lunch, before and after school. Club Rush Days are held in the fall and again at the beginning of second semester, so students can meet prospective club members and sign up.We encourage all students to purchase an ASB card, which will be loaded onto their 5 Star ID. The ASB badge logo will admit students to ALL regular HOME athletic events, provides discounts at social events and helps support academic recognition.
