    "Building better citizens for America"

Established in 2009, the Vista Murrieta Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (VMHS JROTC) has unceasingly pursued its mission to "build better citizens for America." Cadets can expect to be instructed in the ways of citizenship, service, responsibility, and self-discipline - and to be held to the highest standard of excellence. This culture of perpetual improvement is supplemented by the Air Force core values of Integrity FirstService Before Self, and Excellence in all we do. These aspects come together to create an environment that is centered on providing each cadet with lessons to last a lifetime.

Now in its tenth year running, the VMHS JROTC program has enrolled over 300 cadets for the 2020-2021 school year; almost 12% of the entire student body. The curriculum includes the science and history of aviation, health, character development, ethics, global politics, and physical training. Each cadet finishes the course with a new perspective on their country, and are all the better for it.

There truly is no other leadership program on campus quite like the JROTC program. To those who consider joining, keep in mind:

"You can either watch the clouds go by, or you can choose to fly above them"

    Come, fly with us.
