The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) emphasizes high standards of scholarship and community service for California high school students. Founded in 1921, the California Scholarship Federation is the oldest scholarship institution in the state of California. The CSF chapter at Vista Murrieta High School started in 2007.
CSF membership is based on scholarship, citizenship, and community service. Students must apply each semester with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and good citizenship. CSF chapter at VMHS emphasizes community service and raising funds for scholarships.
CSF has been involved in peer tutoring on campus. We have also been involved in community events such as Turkey Trot 5k, Run for Your Life Murrieta, and The Fall Festival at Lisa J. Mails, Antelope Hills, E. Hale Curran, and other elementary schools. Fundraising events have been at Coldstone Creamery and sales of Coldstone Creamery cupcakes, Christmas grams, and Kona Ice truck has been successful at our school. The funds raised are contributed to the Murrieta Valley High Schools Scholarship Fund. We have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to our graduating senior the past eleven years.
