AP Statistics is a class that all majors in college require either directly as a class or a class within certain majors. Earning a 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Exam may waive the required Statistics class in college but you must ask your specific college whether or not they will take the passing scores. AP Statistics is a class that interprets and analyzes statistical data to make decisions. We always use real-life and current situations to show how this material is used currently in real life. Reading and writing statistically is the main work learned by students.
Math 2/Advanced Math 2 is a class that is the second year of our new and current Integrated Math program at Murrieta Valley Unified School District. Where in Math 1 students learned how to compare linear and exponential functions, now continue by introducing Quadratic functions to the comparison as well as continuing Geometric models such as similar and right triangle trigonometry, circles and the continuation of statistical information including probability. The use of graph paper is an everyday requirement for both classwork and/or homework.
Advanced Math 3 is a class that is the third year of our new and current Integrated Math program at Murrieta Valley Unified School District. Math 3 students will continue to use their analyzing skills to compare other functions like logarithmic and polynomial functions to past function in Math 1 & 2. The class will dig deeper in trigonometric function, identities, and equations in preparation for Calculus. The class will continue to use Statistics.
