Mrs. Ashley S. Harper
Education Specialist
Hello, my name is Ashley S. Harper and I am one of the Education Specialists here at Vista Murrieta High School. It will be my responsibility to instill the idea of C.L.A.S.S. in each of my students this school year. What is class you ask? C.L.A.S.S. is a characteristic that people possess when they are confident, positive, and willing to take risks for the good of society and themselves.
Let me begin by giving you my definition of C.L.A.S.S. so that you can apply to all of your classes.
Character defines who you are and who you will become in the future. As your teacher, I will be a role model for you to observe and learn very important concepts from in and outside of class. I will get to know you and you will get to know me. Building a rapport with my students is of the utmost importance. As you will soon find out, I have very high expectations for every student in my class. I expect my students to work diligently toward achieving established goals and objectives. I am firm, yet fair and have an open door policy whenever you need to speak with me about your concerns or accomplishments.
Leadership is a quality that requires me, as your teacher, to involve you as much as possible in the decisions you make academically and socially at this school. It is my responsibility to be a positive spokesperson for MVUSD and communicate to you the importance of believing in yourself to achieve well in all of your classes. Thus, as a team, we will work hard so that no student is left behind.
Attitude is everything. The way you carry yourself makes a big impression on others. Stay focused and positive when faced with adversity. Be motivated to learn and be an enthusiastic participant in your education.
Scholarship is why we are here. You will be in control of your educational destiny. It is my job to be your guide. I will be conferring with your teachers about your academic progress. When problems arise, we will conquer them together. Together we will work as a team to attain your academic goals. Organization will be the key to organize your materials and assignments throughout your educational career.
Service means being involved with your community. Parents are an integral part of your educational career. I will call or e-mail them to talk about your progress in class. I love sports and other extracurricular activities so don’t be surprised if you see my smiling face in the stands cheering you on to victory.
It is very nice to meet you and let’s have a great year filled with lots of C.L.A.S.S. My phone number is (951) 894-5750 extension 6675. If you need to reach me by e-mail, my address is: aharper@murrieta.k12.ca.us.
Yours in Education,
Ashley S. Harper
