Introduction to PhilosophyCourse # 1506Grade Level: 10-12Prerequisite: NoneLength: SemesterThe course meets District history requirements for elective credit. The course requires high level reading comprehension skills because students participate in small group and class discussions as well as personal writings on the world's major philosophers and classical writings. Moral philosophy and ethics will be explored. Authors include philosophers such as Plate, Socrates, Descartes, Hobies, Hume, Kant and Dewey. Contemporary philosophical issues will serve as the basis for class discussions.Philosophy Teachers
