Risk Management

  • Murrieta Valley Unified School District is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and visitors.

Our goal in risk management is to support the district’s mission of “Inspire Every Student To Think, To Learn, To Achieve, To Care” through effective risk financing and risk control best practices that prevent claims, insurance loss and mitigation of all potential hazards, allowing us to focus resources on student learning.

Risk management is responsible for implementing the district's insurance programs, including workers' compensation, property, liability, auto, and other insurance programs. Equally important are the functions associated with risk mitigation including, but not limited to, the coordination of employee safety training, and employee health/wellness benefits.

  • Safety Inspections

School sites undergo a safety inspection each year by Loss Control Consultants from our insurance administrator. Each site also conducts its own safety self-inspection on a quarterly basis. In addition, the District Safety Committee manages safety improvement suggestions. Safety-related suggestions may be submitted via email to: safety@murrieta.k12.ca.us
